Hey Cedric, glad it's not my imagination then. How many times has it happened in total? Have you told your dealer?
I don't think it will leave me stranded but it did nearly cause me to crash in the wet, it happened very fast and I was doing 55mph changed down to fourth gear ready for the corner. As it stopped the back wheel locked up and skidded round very fast because the road surface was wet. I came very close to crashing, but usually ride with fingers covering the clutch so that saved me. The other time was in third gear at around 25mph. If yours only happens going into first gear then that means hopefully you aren'y going fast or into a corner. I am on to the dealer and trying to get a reply from Husqvana (5 days waiting but still nothing). I will let you know if I find anything out? Ride safe, or slowly in my case. And definitely not in the wet....
Exact same thing happened to me, but on a gravel road. I was riding in 4th around 55-60 like yourself and as I let go the throttle to downshift to 3rd before a turn, the engine stopped as I released the clutch. It sent me in an impressive low side that almost got me on the ground. I slid sideways for a good while and recovered with enough speed to attempt a restart but it proved impossible. After I stopped, I pressed the starter button and the engine fired immediately.
This situation happened again 5 times during the season, twice a low speed arriving at a stop sign. The other 3 times I was riding at a speed that would have allowed a restart but it never worked, the engine was like dead, with no warning light up. My dealer opened a case with Husky and it seems that there is a throttle body malfunction, I don't know what exactly, a few have been replaced already (in canada).

Not the best of outcomes, but not the worst either . Rule number 1 is to stay safe as much as you can.
i also heard that gasoline with ethanol could be a problem .
For now, I have to wait and see. A case has been opened with Husqvarna canada.
Cheers
