Well for me it depends on what Im trying to get off - if its dust, rinse well first so the dirt comes off the plastic. If its bugs, rinse first and then I use "Honda Spray Cleaner / Polish" and a microfiber.

Givent the chance if the bugs are bad, I will put a warm wet towel on the windshield and let it sit for 15 minutes if you have time. Bugs will wipe right off.

But the big miss here by most people is they get home, leave the bike for a day or two and then try to clean it. I tend to clean the bugs off when I get home and things go easier IMO.

Honda Cleaner - I usually get at least a year out of a can - Pro Honda Spray Cleaner & Polish | Parts & Accessories | Rocky Mountain ATV/MC

After spending a lot of $$ on several different products over the last few years, I just started using the cheap stuff from the auto parts store, I think it's called invisible glass foaming spray, but it is under $3 a can and lasts a long time. I use it on my windshield, headlights, helmet and even body panels if it's just a little dusty or a few bugs followed by a microfiber towel. Cheap, available everywhere and it seems to work great...
