After watching linden (Lynden)? The Norden spokesman do some wheelies in an early promo video, I've been secretly obsessed with being able to pop some killer wheelies. However it's been rough with the Norden. I have 2 issues, the first is I'm terrible at clutch-ups, I can feather the clutch with the best of them in the soft stuff and keep the bike vertical, but for wheelie clutch ups on this 900cc monster, I'm flat out uncoordinated, so guess that makes me a power-up kind of guy. (Grower not a show-er, haha) Second, when I preload the front, scoot back and pull up, it only ever lets me pop baby ones but it's never 100% or when I want, lol...

The other day I noticed the T/C light came on when giving it the beans and had an epiphany. I turned Explorer mode from "6" to "1" and instantly I could get as high as I want!

The T/C on Explorer mode was preventing wheelies this whole time. If anyone has any other tips I'd be interested.

Thanks for the tips! I’m dying to try it myself this summer. Not sure I have the guts to though 😂

I have never ever been "that wheelie guy" - but I can definitely see the value in having that expertise in the wild.

Good on you DWC for seeing the need and addressing it.!!

I found that I can clutch-up in 2nd gear when going 20-25mph, but only need to lift the front about 2 feet with the clutch and can then power up into vert. Super fun!...until I get pulled over that is, which is likely to happen. Hopefully, I'll get an understanding officer. I actually had one compliment me on my skills after pulling me over and only giving me a warning, this was a long time ago on a different bike (Yamaha Seca 750). I had a 2000 Honda XR650R that I could clutch/power up in 3rd gear at ~40mph and then shift into 4th before standing up and was then good to go indefinitely. I once passed my buddy group of 6 on a long, straight fire road like they were moving cones, weaving across the road to pass on opposite sides. I typically had a few miles less than them on the ODO at the end of our rides. I really miss that bike but am working on being just as competent on one wheel on the Norden.
