Servus, first of all I'm writing in English, not because I can (but google translator) but because the forum lives from the exchange, maybe. Your question also interests people here who don't speak German ;-) Back to your question: the electronic suspension of my 1290 SAS 2018 wasn't any better, the adjustment range was hard, harder or very hard ;-). You can't customize anything here. I almost never needed the load adjustment. 160 hp are awesome, the engine is superior because it has unlimited power, but I don't need it. If 100 hp isn't enough on the country road, then I'm probably. better off on the race track. (My opinion) Wind protection was completely unsatisfactory for me at the SAS, I'm 189cm tall, constantly drumming, sometimes more sometimes less, that just annoyed me. For me, the Norden is the more appropriate bike. A little tip: borrow the SAS for 3 days and drive it extensively.

Thanks a lot for your info. Originally wanted the 1290 SAS, because my 790 Adventure was much too uncomfortable. Then came the Norden and I then bought without a test ride. I was afraid of the big too strong 1290 SAS. Meanwhile I drive only with my pillion. And since I'm annoying the daily adjustment of the spring preload and the rebound on the shock absorber of the north. In addition, the strut shock absorber is now also defective. In addition, the windshield of the north is much too small. And the seat height for me too high. Was the last 3 days a BMW GS 1250 test. But the cardan stops are not my cup of tea. Will soon test drive the 1290, although I need neither 160 hp nor 250 kg.

Greetings

Servus, it's so different, everyone takes it differently. My 1290 SAs was only comfortable with the 4th seat 😀 After 7000 km the rear shock absorber was defective, in the middle of summer. Now the fork sizzles. Something is always. Let's see how I think about the north once I've done 10,000 km with it 😀
