Hello all,

Been lurking around the forum for a few days and thought I would join. I am trying to decide between a Norden 901 and a leftover KTM 890 Adventure R. The leftover deals KTM is having right now is very enticing considering the upgraded suspension you get with the R model. I have owned a 790 Adv R and really liked the platform. I love the look of the Norden and I am looking for something that will be my only bike and do everything to include multi day BDR rides.

What is holding me back is the wind buffeting complaints folks have had. I wear progressive lens glasses and buffeting the vibrates my glasses really causes problems. I also like the idea of the better suspension on the 890 Adv R but know the Expedition official announcement is coming very very soon so that may be solved.

Anyway, I enjoy reading and this seems like a great forum.

Hi Dave,
I was basically having the same problem last year.
I chose the Norden, because of its more comfortable but still very good suspension overall, even tough the 890 R might be "better" and because of its looks.
There is indeed wind buffeting on the Norden, but it was worse on my 701, so its okay for me.
I did the mistake of installing a "single point of fixation" spoiler on top of the windscreen, which was great, but ended up cracking on my first off-road ride with it, due to the severe vibrations/movements caused by the trail, so I'm now back to the original windscreen.
