you have to have the grips activated in the workshop.

You can do it yourself, no need to take it to the dealer.

Interesting. In 1-2 weeks I will get my Norden 901 and heated grips, seat heating and the connectivity module to install myself. My dealer said I had to come to him afterwards so that he unlocked it.
Looks like some are pre activated and some are not. Mine are not so it looks like a trip to my dealer…You can do it yourself, no need to take it to the dealer.

Mine were activated easily enough. But I wonder if it had to do with the Explorer software I had installed earlier.

Timing was perfect, my ride this morning was about 42*F. Heated grips and heated seat made for a nice ride.

Picked up my new husky today. The dealer now also told me that only the connectivity module has to be activated after installation, everything in the direction of the heating should work directly.

Not ALL bikes come with the heating options enabled. I only had the pillion seat available. I had to take it to the shop and have them enable all of it. There was no other way around this. Only took them 10 minutes. I was then able to go in and toggle the riders seat and grips to available. I left the pillion seat set to unavailable, as it will never get used. I guess it really just depends on what the shop did when they set up the bike. I wasn't one of the lucky ones.
