Expedition OEM Replacement Parts

Does anyone have a source for OEM parts? Maybe over there in Europe?

I dropped my bike yesterday and broke the turn signal and scratched up the fairing pretty good... Hoping to replace them... but 6 different dealers here in California can't seem to source them.

Really frustrating as I had crash bars and PPF sitting in the garage... Just hadnt had time to put them on yet. On top of that my Dealer (like so many Husqvarna shops here) didnt install the skid plate correctly... so the skid plate bent into the fuel tank and scratched it up as well...

That sucks. Hope you are ok.
Not sure if the new signal lights are LED or not? Last year's signal lights I didn't like at all so I have installed a Cyclops kit. It's great. There is another thread on it if you are interested.
Find your part, copy the material number, then search google for "Husqvarna and the number" done.

Really sad this happened to you. Just goes to proof there is nideed a need for crash bars on this baby.
If you had damage due to the dealer installing the skid plate incorrectly - they should be on the hook for that damage. I would talk to Husqvarna about this if necessary.
I havent gotten a single email back. Only my dealer gave me a call back... and basically told me they would replace the skid plate but then said they couldnt find it anywhere and would get back to me.

This turned into a nightmare reql quick... the redflags I read about over and over are well deserved. Im going back to Japanese bikes... Soulless... but at least I can get parts.
Curious what kind of drop you had....high speed on pavement? Low speed in the dirt..?
Been hesitating on upper crashers for look and weight, but maybe they are a good idea.

Whilst you are awaiting your skid plate, You may want to include the AXP skidplate which you can resell to a standard 901 inmate when your dealership is able to obtain your original, Wishing you the best in this bitter situation.

That sucks. Curious how they incorrectly installed the skid plate. My dealer forgot a number of things including the rubber bumpers that go on the side of the tank. I wondered if those were there to prot3ct from the damage you described.
Also, the PPF. Did you find some precut parts or were going to freehand it? Looking for some for mine.

You shouldn’t be discouraged about parts. The bike is awesome to ride street and dirt. You have to give some consideration. This bike is a totally new model. Parts like the side panels and turn signals just came out with the new bike which just got released a month ago. Have patience and parts will be available in the future. Don’t let this discourage you from enjoying what the bike is capable of. Where are you in California? Maybe I can check with my local dealerships about parts. They’ve been good to me.

Dropped it in the most embarrassing way I could imagine... parking on a steep hill... tried to hop a curb to park the other way... tire slipped more than I expected... upset my weight. And i dropped it.

Stupid.

They seem to have forgot half the hardware from the looks of it. The bumpers would have helped keep the plate off the fuel tank at the very least. My plate is bent into the tank now making contact.

And yeah... I bought bulk and was gonna do it myself. However... The tools and skill required make the 500 dollar quote i got after i had already bought the bulk and tools... is absolutely worth having a pro install. Its fun to work with though... but I sure wish I had just had it on for this.

Thank you for the info on the ppf and sorry about the damage. Hopefully you can get it squared away quickly.

on mine they forget half the hardware as well. I had to figure out what was missing and give the dealer a list. They dug through their pile of parts and found almost all of it.
Does anyone happen to have the article number of HanschutzKit White, from the "Expedition" I can only find it in black, my dealer can't find it yet.

or does anyone know a shop where you can buy the White Hand Protection Kit.

KTM is notorious for not having a good supply of spares for the bigger bikes, especially over the pond. You can check the experiences of 890 owners from other forums and it's pretty much the same motor.
I dropped mine a few days ago but only the skid plate and Barkbusters were hit. Pretty cosmetic. No damage to the faring. I am dreading having to source parts when it does happen. I had crash bars on my 2022 Norden but with the bigger tank and skid plate on the Expedition I am uncertain if the crash bars on the base 901 will fit. I am hoping the faring plastic is not pricey do I don't care about it getting hit. Best of luck in finding parts, I'll be keeping an eye on this post
It may help a bit to cover some areas with 3M clear coating. I had a partial roll on hand and did most of the quarter fairings and TFT. Cost was about $12.

Shelbydog, where did you source the 3m clear coating? Thanks
Found it .. Amazon. Dah . I assume you did the 6”wide so as to work it better than a wider size. Thanks
