Hello everyone; I’m new to the adventure bike world and I am very excited to go pick up my new Norden 901 expedition this weekend, I can’t wait!
The reason for my post is that I used to ride sport bikes a few years ago and I found out how important a good set of crash bars are when it comes to the accidental drop of your motorcycle. So I am wondering if you guys may know of a reliable site to order crash bars for this bike, I haven’t been successful doing the “Google” search.

You gotta try the DB crash bars. Mine arrived today and i cannot believe how so very light they are. Lightest bars i have ever come across. www.db-parts.com.

Im in a similar boat. Note that alot of the crash bars mount to points that are blocked by the aluminum skid plate.

The DB parts bars noted above work with the HD skid plate.

Is that the Husqvarna skidplate (as on Expedition). Do the upper DB crashbar fit niceley with the high fender?

Yes that is the husky skid plate.

The high fender does need a small mod to lower it by an inch to fit with the crash bars. Just a couple extra bolts and a small plate. There is another post that describes that.

It looks like you have installed only the upper crash bar? Looks like the lower crash bar is not needed with the big skid plate? Is it a solid installation only using the upper skid plate? Please verify.

Meant upper crash bar.

I spent an hour on their website today trying to contact them or order the upper bars. How did you acquire these? A dealer or distributor? Couldn’t figure it out.

looks great; bars look burly. do those mount at the gas tank bolt? Looks like the Thork mount there, and wondered if that was a good or bad thing.

I have the Motea bars on my 2022 and they bolt into where the OEM basic skid plate is. With my 2023 Expedition I looking for an upper bar solution only due to the larger lower skidplate. Do the www.db-parts.com parts aluminum crash bar top crash bar wobble or move? From the photos it looks like they only bolt into one spot on each side of the bike. That doesn't look very stable.
How are they?

I have no idea. I am still awaiting delivery for my bike at which time, i will find out. Sorry i cannot be more helpful.

The upper crashbars that shugacane mentioned above are solid. I installed them to my Expedition. The lower crash bars will not fit with the heavy duty Expedition skid plate. Just for reference the crash bars are made of ALUMINUM that’s why they are so light. 4.36lbs/1.98kg. They will bend in a crash due to the material. Most crash bars like Touratech and Outback Mototech are made of Steel or Stainless Steel but you have to install the lower section in order to install the upper set. That been said I like the upper aluminum crash bars and don’t think the Expedition needs lower crash bars with the heavy duty skid plate.
