I wondered if anyone has bought the Bluetooth connector kit for the Husqvarna Norden 901.
My question is….
Does anyone know what needs to be removed to get to the wiring harness and plug in the Bluetooth Connectivity Kit ?
The KTM/Husqvarna shop doesn’t seem to have a schematic showing where on the Norden wire harness the Kit gets attached.
Any ideas?

Мне интересно, купил ли кто-нибудь комплект разъемов Bluetooth для Husqvarna Norden 901.
Мой вопрос….
Кто-нибудь знает, что нужно снять, чтобы добраться до жгута проводов и подключить комплект подключения Bluetooth?
В магазине KTM / Husqvarna, похоже, нет схемы, показывающей, где на жгуте проводов Norden крепится комплект.
Любые идеи?

I see you are in the U.S., did you get a connectivity unit and if so, from where?

I actually had a trip to Europe planned in 2020. It was changed to 2021, then to this year.
I called around to the dealers in Austria. I was told that they might be available in Jan 2023 there due to supply problems. They had no idea when the US will get them.
There was one available in the last shop I emailed.
It was an ordeal to get there.
Train, bus, and a 3 mile walk to get to the shop.
It just cost me $200 and 12 days of Covid out of the 15 I was there….and by the way Lufthansa lost all my luggage. No clothes for two weeks. A pair of shorts cost $75.
Also the Norden cost s about $3,500 more than the US.

Yes you can. There is some information in user manual but easy to use without manual...
Anyone got any feedback on this kit? Good/bad/ugly? Is it worth it? My phone connects to my Sena headset and I have a quadlock to mount the phone on above the screen. Would this kit add much functionality or ease of use? (I'm not a huge fan of the Sena connectivity and ease of use personally).

I can see one advantage is not having to mount the phone in the open in bad weather if I need to see directions...

Thanks!

The connection from the connectivity kit to my NeXX X-Com2 headset works wonderfully and the connection to the Samsung S20 fits wonderfully and the sound quality is great.

But unfortunately I'm not very satisfied with the connectivity kit system. The audio function does not work in the MENU display and is inactive and (greyed out) despite a stable Bluetooth connection. So I can't operate the left handlebar button neither my song from Youtube music app or Spotify app (Android). It's a shame, that's exactly what I would have wished for.

Is anyone having the same problem?

Does the bluetooth connectivity kit have to be activated by the dealer? Maybe that's why the menu is disabled.

The conectivity kit is now installed on my Norden. First BT connexion was successfully but I didn't try the Audio (Active on the menu), I tried to use the turn by turn guidance without any result. Back to home, I tried to play with Audio but like in the Video it was disable and no guidance turn by turn, my iPhone 12 ios 16.2 was well connected and Husqvarna Ride app was on. I canceled the BT connection (forget this device). I tried again to connect iPhone and the Norden and got the audio active and functionning. I launched Husqvarna Ride app on the iPhone, loaded an route and I got indications on the board of the Norden. Great !!! but .....

I tried again after getting the bike off and this time without results even by doing a reset of the BT connection (forget this device). I think the app on the bike and perhaps the app on the iPhone don't work fine, lot of bugs.

I come from the BMW world and I feel a huge difference in term of support. I have an other issue with TPMS giving a warning because of connectivity problems but giving the pressure of the tyres. This problem was there from the first kilometers and is still present one year later despite several requests to my dealer who tells me that he has no solution from Husqvarna.

I will try with an android device to see if it works better.

I had the TPMS on order but cancelled it after talking with my friends with KTMs. They both stated how inaccurate the TPMS is and that it's not worth all the problems that comes with it.

I've got the BT kit, the TPMS, center stand and the Heated grips on order with my dealer, I'm going to cancel it all except for the center stand. I keep hearing how the electronics don't play well and I hate the idea of having to keep "favorites" on the screen or go 4 levels deep in the menu to turn things on or off... My D-pad gets used for explorer mode and I don't want to give that up.

I'm going with Koso heated grips, 3rd party valve cap TPMS and sticking with my Cardo Edge / Garmin Zumo xt and cellphone for BT.

I do want that center stand though.

I love the heated grips. Like you, I was concerned about only having two options for my quick select, but I have a plan. Since it's winter and I don't do much off-road during because of the weather, I'm going to use the quick select for grips during the winter and ride mode during the other seasons. It's been working great so far.

I have the BT (Connectivity Unit) kit on order and I'm looking forward to being able to monitor my phone while riding. I don't like mounting my phone on the bike due to vibration, drops when off-road and dust/dirt, so I keep it in my chest pocket. Like I said before, I'm going to pass on the TPMS kit.

I'm debating the connectivity kit so the phone isn't always out. I do have a quad lock mounted above the screen and really like it.
I went with after market heated grip pads and wrapped them in grip tape. Super cheap but I wanted the grip heaters on an easily access switch not menus as you say. Bonus is I like the thicker grips.
Centre stand is a must for ADV in my opinion. I got the Outbackmototrek. No complaints.

Hi folks, I bought my Norden in November 22 but couldn’t ride until now. But I installed lots of stuff: Heated grips and heated driver seat with HCU, BT connectivity kit, TPMS and a few other non-electronic parts. The electronic parts are not dealer-activated right now. Everything is OEM because I thought those parts act together like they should, but now I read your complaints. :(
It’s not too late to remove the tpms, cause the valves are not installed jet. I don’t like having additional crap looking displays on the bike, but I won’t miss some kind of tire pressure control unit.
i will try how the BT-Unit works. If it’s not ok, I will try to return it to the dealer.
But I will definitely keep the heated grips and seat, in this point I’ll go with KrillOill’s solution.
