I'll take a look at mine tonight. One of my handguards was loose so I tightened it down. I though the screws looked long but didn't notice any cable interference - I'll take a closer look!
I'm wondering if dealers are installing the handguards and using whatever bolts they have laying around. If there is interference I would ask the dealer to make it right during the next service.
