:..Anybody installing a light bar below the headlight.?..:

I had a 6" RIDGID light bar that threw about 4000 lumens installed it on my 2012 Super Tenere'.

It was a night to day transformation.

I was thinking of installing a 6" or 10" light bar via the upper forks with some sort of mounting system.

I have not measured anything as I do not have my ''RX-Pedition'' delivered yet.

Does anyone know the measurement between the 2 forks? Would a 10" bar fit that space?

I believe there is nothing to attach to under the headlight - unless I fitted an upper engine bar case / tank crash bar that I really don't wanna do.

Hec, maybe that's the only way it can be fitted securely.

Your Thoughts.???

(*Oh, and BTW -- I am looking hard at the "BlackOakLED.com" marine bar -- https://www.blackoakled.com/collections/marine-led-light-bars/products/10-inch-marine-series*)

Ruby Moto makes individual light mounts for the forks. You could mount whatever to them. My current ADV bike has a set of Baja Designs wide cornering AUX lights installed, and I even run those during the day sometimes when in some of the heavily forested trails we have here in the Northeast, or on overcast days. Big difference lighting obstacles. At night they are incredible. The OEM AUX lights on the Norden seem only 'ok' in comparison. I was thinking of perhaps replacing those instead of adding others, but will have to put on some miles to decide (so far I have only ridden a friends 2022 Norden a little bit, and mostly in 'mild' conditions). I feel like maybe Ruby Moto also makes replacement lights for the Norden. Maybe there s even a post on here somewhere about them.....

excellent : BlackOak LED has curved light bars that throw both fog & spot lighting. Might be the fix for late night running.

I have read up on the Ruby Moto gear also - that might be the installation parts needed to do the light bar properly.

Thanks for the reply.!!!

I was considering a light bar under the headlight. For now, I installed some 2.5" lights. They're okay (very bright), but I think they need to be mounted higher.

@KrillOill The lights look really good. I also suspect that you'll want to mount them higher to cast a less distractive shadow.

I'm continuing to wait for the availability of Ruby Moto's kit for the Norden. They confirmed to me that they're still working on a R4 package that produce over 8K lumens per pair and will drop right into the existing fog light location. If you add their removable R4 Hyper-Vis Lens Shield, you can use them as both fog/dust and auxiliary lights.

I bet that really helps, I ride at night quite a bit and the stock lights aren't enough!

It helps a bit, but I was hoping for more. It does help to convince people to move out of my way during the day. There's a mode that let's me alternate the lights fast or slow. Makes people think I might be law enforcement. :)
