HI from New Zealand, traded my 07 990 ADV in on the Norden and am loving it. Accessories so far include; windscreen extension, hot grips, different hand guards, headlight guards, a Scott oiler and a Remus carbon slip on exhaust. The dealer has a centre stand which will go on when the (ordered) GPS mount is here

I am not sure sorry as I have never ridden it with the standard pipe, I have the standard pipe in a box in the garage, I’m not sure if its ever been used on the bike. I also understand it has a different air filter in it, because I have the original one in a box.

I am down in South Island. I have the Remus on my 901 as well. I am not sure it changes performance but it gives the bike an awesome bark compared to stock. It is really cool.

You don’t get that barking cackle as you come off the power with the stock. Really recommend the Remus and like you lovin my 901. Does everything I want it to and does it well!

Mine is quite quiet, having you taking "something" out of the pipe?

No I haven't. I ordered mine with the bike. I did for aesthetic reasons after noticing them on some of the press bikes used on the Azores launch. It arrived soon after the bike, but I only got it fitted at the 1000km service. There was a noticeable difference in sound, even the dealership commented on it. It is not noisy in the sense that it going to annoy the neighbours. It is still respectable, but it has a bark (I googled some reviews this morning and found similar comments from reviewers). If I didn't ride with the stock originally I probably wouldn't have known. Mine also cackles when you throttle off. If it is not supposed to, I do not want it fixed!
