Removed the stock skidplate to find a very concerning groove worn into the fuel tank on the left side. The culprit is a screw tab on the inside of the skidplate.
Im contacting Husqvarna about this one!
Its much deeper than the pic looks!
Anyone else have this happening? Thus would have eventually worn right through..

I removed the stock skid plate and installed the husky heavy duty skid plate when my bike had about 10 - 11,000 kms and didn't have that damage. Is it possible your skid plate sustained some damage somewhere along the way?

Nope, the stock skidplate is un-damaged. Not a dent. The tab on the inside corner sticks out and has been vibrating against the tank. The groove is deep and would have eventually worn through had I not found it. Very disappointing.

Take it back to your dealer, have them replace the tank under warranty...
